Family Ministry School (CNH/FAM 231/232)
This is a cutting edge school that impacts not only the life of the students, but also their family and extended family. As the individual and then the family is changed, healed and restored; we then see that flow over into the church, the community and eventually the nation.
This is not only a school for married couples or families but also very much for singles. It helps them in their relationships with family and friends, and equips them further for whatever ministry God has called them into. And of course, for the day they may marry and start their own family.
We are seeing a major breakdown of society, with escalating serious crime, rape, abuse, drug abuse, crime against children, etc. This school addresses the above issues by training students in the biblical principles of family life: marriage and parenting, sexuality, gender injustice, addictions, grief, recovery from abuse, family preventative health, HIV, basic family counseling skills and equipping them in presenting these in seminars.
If you want to be effective where God has called you, if you want to be a nation changer and impact the different generations - this school is for you.
Field Assignment
The field assignment following the lecture phase is structured to help students integrate previous classroom studies with practical service application. Students serve on teams which conduct seminars in the community, and also help in planning and conducting family camps. They participate in a limited amount of supervised family counseling throughout the program. For students with families, the field assignment affords opportunities for the family to minister as a team.
Prerequisites
Completion of the Discipleship Training School (YWAM-DTS) and Field Assignment.
Credits
